November 28, 2025

The Science & Technology Angels Network (STAN) is excited to announce the establishment of its Los Angeles Chapter, in partnership with Triple S Ventures, bringing together key leaders from the startup and investment community in Los Angeles. The official launch of the Chapter took place on December 5th, 2024, at CBRE in Glendale, California. bringing together key leaders from both communities. The STAN LA Chapter aims to strengthen early-stage startup founders from Armenia and neighboring regions, as well as those from the LA ecosystem. By providing access to angel investment, strategic mentorship, and support for global market entry, STAN and Triple S seek to create a collaborative network for innovation.

The LA Chapter will be co-chaired by Avetis Antaplyan, a STAN Angel and Board Member, and Avag Simonyan, Managing Partner at Triple S Ventures.

“When we at Triple S Ventures decided to launch an Angel Investor network within our ecosystem, we chose the path of cooperation with STAN, which was seeking to scale its operations by establishing a presence in Los Angeles. Together, we believe this partnership will generate immense value by consolidating the strengths of both organizations' networks, creating a powerful engine for innovation and growth,” said Avag Simonyan.

This partnership will create synergies by consolidating STAN’s growing angel community, which has a significant presence in LA and is committed to supporting early-stage tech startups with high growth potential, along with Triple S Ventures' expertise in scouting innovative deals, deep domain knowledge, and well-defined investment management processes.

“STAN’s community in Los Angeles is our largest, and we’ve already organized several impactful events that brought together the LA tech community and investors. Naturally, the next step for us was to think about holding dedicated pitching sessions here. However, we decided to take a more strategic approach by establishing a chapter mechanism. This will allow us to scale not only in terms of the number of angels but also across new geographies, enabling us to support even more startups. We’re excited to partner with Triple S Ventures to further expand our activities and create more opportunities for early-stage founders,” said Avetis Antaplyan.

This expansion presents a significant opportunity for early-stage startups to use the potential of the angel investors from the Armenian Diaspora to bridge the startups with the US ecosystem and accelerate their scaling potential.

Additionally, this initiative invites new angel investors to engage with the ecosystem, enabling them to contribute strategically and support the growth of emerging ventures.

STAN encourages both non-Armenian and Armenian founders and startups to apply, whether as startups seeking funding or as angel investors looking to support the next generation of innovation.
